Did you know this about the royal family?
We can’t get enough of all of the news and facts about the British royals. Prince Harry and Meghan’s beautiful wedding, Kate and William’s adorable kids and the strict etiquette surrounding the royal family: it’s all fascinating to us. You’d think the entire family is known to the public by now, but we realised we hardly know anything about these two people…
William and Harry have a stepbrother and stepsister who hardly ever attend occasions with the royal family.
First marriage
Before Camilla Parker Bowles got married to crown prince Charles, she was married to army officer Andrew Parker Bowles. She had two children with him: Laura Lopes and Tom Parker Bowles. Laura is a writer and Tom is a journalist. When Camilla married Charles in 2005 she decided to keep her children out of the spotlight as much as possible. This is the reason why not a lot of people know who they are.
Bridesmaid
It does appear that Harry and William have a pretty close bond with their stepbrother and stepsister, though. Laura was even a bridesmaid at Kate Middleton and William’s wedding. In 2006, Laura got married herself as well, to underwear model Baron Harry Lopes. Tom was together with his partner for 12 years before getting a divorce.
