This is why you should sprinkle sugar in your garden

sugar

Sugar is much more than just a sweetener

When you think of sugar, you obviously think of sweet stuff right away. Candy, cake, cookies, ice cream… And we can think of many more deliciously sweet things. Most of these things aren’t exactly healthy for you, although you do have to have a certain level of sugar intake to function properly. Unfortunately, a lot of people eat way too much of it which can lead to them becoming overweight.

Sugar is often seen as a real villain, but it can also be very handy!

Food products

If you think about it, though, the need or want for sugar isn’t that strange because it’s hard to imagine our modern food products without any of it. The sweet stuff is used in pretty much everything, even things we wouldn’t normally associate with sweetness. You might be aware of it sometimes, but we think most people would be not so pleasantly surprised when they found out how much sugar a lot of their favourite products contain. For example, you probably know that coke contains a lot of sugar, but did you know that 1 litre of regular coke contains a whopping 40 sugar cubes? It sounds unbelievable, but it’s true. The problem is that these products often contain hidden sugars that you’ll only find out about if you study the label very thoroughly.

Luckily, sugar isn’t only a bad thing. You can also do some very handy things with it! Want to know what kind of things? Go to the next page to keep reading!
