Smartphone screen
This one is just entirely unavoidable, it seems. Whatever you do to protect your phone screen; somehow it will get scratched at some point in time. But don’t despair! In this case, too, toothpaste is your friend. Rub some of it on your phone screen with a cotton ball for about 10 minutes and the scratch should disappear.
Leather sofa
Leather sofas are very durable, but they also easily get scratched. To fix this, all you need is a bit of vegetable oil. Use a cotton swab to rub a bit of oil unto the scratched leather surface. Use circular motions, and let it dry afterwards. Then, wipe away any leftover oil. If the scratches aren’t gone yet, you can repeat the process.
Wooden floors
We try to prevent it as much as we can, but accidents do happen. Bigger scratches occur when moving furniture, but smaller scratches can even happen due to your bag scratching the floor. It’s a bummer, but it’s not the end of the world! You can still make the scratch less noticeable with this trick. Mix together equal parts vinegar and olive oil and pour this into a spray bottle. Shake well. First, spray a bit of the mixture onto an inconspicuous spot, like behind the sofa or a cupboard, to make sure it doesn’t make the floor too dark. If you don’t run into any problems, you can spray a bit on the scratch and rub it in with a microfiber cloth or a different soft cloth. The scratch will never disappear completely, but you will have made sure it’s a lot less obvious.
