Caked or burned foods
You know the deal; those extremely nasty, greasy pots and pans. Coffee grounds are a great solution to cleaning them!
Smells
Does your fridge have a weird smell? You can get rid of it by drying some coffee grounds and placing them in a small bowl. Put this bowl on a shelf in your fridge and you’ll notice the nasty smell will disappear. You can also use this method for a smelly drain. Use some dried grounds as an air freshener and your drain will smell fresh again!
Cheap soap
This might sound a little weird, but old coffee grounds are a great substitute for soap. It gets rid of smells, which is useful if you’ve just cut garlic or onion, and it makes your hands nice and soft.
Damaged wood
Did you know you can cover up gaps in wooden furniture made with dark wood with some coffee grounds? It sounds far-fetched, but it’s true; give it a try!
Fireplace
If you’ve got a working fireplace, you’ll probably be using it right about now, with Christmas around the corner. The downside of a fireplace is that it can cause a bit of a mess. If you place some old coffee grounds on the bottom of your fireplace you’ll make sure the ash doesn’t get everywhere.
Soft skin
Coffee contains all kinds of antioxidants and, of course, caffeine. Those things are very good for your hands, so you can use coffee grounds to make your hands stay nice and soft.
It’s truly the stuff of miracles! We’ll think twice before throwing our old coffee grounds in the bin!
