7. Quick clean up
Perhaps you’ve got guests coming over and you don’t have any time to properly clean the home, or you just want your home to smell nice quickly. Pick a nice smelling cleaning product and use a cloth to quickly wipe this product on the counter, the table or another surface. That way your home will smell nice and as if it’s super clean. You can save the big clean up for after the party.
8. Let the washing machine do all the work
Nothing smells as good as freshly washed clothes. Especially when they’ve just come out of the tumble dryer they smell absolutely lovely. So, wash your clothes and put them in the dryer with a dryer sheet to make your home smell amazing. Easy peasy, lemon squeezy!
9. Make your own perfume bombs
Drench a cotton ball in some essential oil to make your own perfume bombs. Put these bombs between pillows or fake flowers, behind furniture or put one in the bag of your vacuum cleaner. If you walk past, you’ll get a nice whiff of a lovely scent without it being overpowering.
10. Fabric softener
You can make fabric sofas, curtains, carpets or pillows smell lovely again by spraying them with a mix of water and fabric softener. Pour a little bit of fabric softener into a plant spray bottle and dilute this with water. You can also use diluted all purpose cleaner: this smells nice and kills bacteria. Do make sure there’s no bleach in it.
