4. Dry skin
A lot of people have dry skin during the winter. This is partly due to the cold and the dry air that’s caused by the heating, but it might also be the result of a vitamin D deficiency. Dry skin is a clear sign of a lack of vitamin D and can easily be resolved by sunlight, supplements or even creams with vitamin D.
5. Breakouts
It’s really true that your skin often looks worse in winter because acne is also one of the signs of a vitamin D deficiency. Vitamin D can reduce inflammation in the skin. So, a deficiency can mean you have extra red skin due to acne or rosacea.
