Say goodbye to swollen hands and feet!

Did you know that the majority of people suffer from sore swollen feet and ankles (and other body parts) because of too much water retention in their bodies? Especially women are susceptible to this and not just during pregnancy. So, if you’re suffering from this, you’re definitely not the only one. Luckily we’ve got 6 tricks for you that’ll make water retention a thing of the past!

All of these 6 tips are completely safe to try in combination with each other. Some bodies react better to the one trick than to the other, so we recommend discovering for yourself what works best for you.

Tip 1: Drink a lot of water
It sounds a bit counterproductive: getting rid of water by drinking water. But drinking water is especially effective if you want to make sure you’ll retain less of it. Your body will be more capable of getting rid of water and ‘fighting’ against water retention if you hydrate well.

Tip 2: Soak in natural salt
Take a bucket or large bowl and fill it with lukewarm water and a considerable amount of salt. You could use Epsom salt, which is a coarse type of salt that’s available at most pharmacies. Place your swollen feet (or other body parts) in the bucket with water and salt and let them soak for at least half an hour at a time. The salt will draw the water out of your body. You could also take a salt bath.

Tip 3: Rub apple vinegar on yourself
Buy a small bottle of apple vinegar at the supermarket and rub it on yourself before you step into the shower. Let it soak for a little bit and then rinse it off in the shower. Like salt, apple vinegar draws out water from your body, and it’s said to be an excellent method.
