Huh?! This is how you make boiled eggs without boiling them!
Do you enjoy eating boiled eggs on a regular basis? We love an egg for breakfast or lunch; yum! Eggs are are full of proteins and provide us with a lot of energy. If you regularly prepare a bunch of boiled eggs at a time, for example for food prepping purposes or for a party, this trick is perfect for you!
With this method you’ve got yourself a lot of boiled eggs very quickly!
This is how you do it:
- Preheat the oven at 160 °C (320 F).
- Place the eggs in a muffin tin so they’re all in individual compartments.
- Put the muffin tin into the preheated oven and ‘bake’ the eggs for 30 minutes.
- Take the eggs out of the oven after 30 minutes and immediately put them in a bowl of cold water. You’ve got yourself twelve boiled eggs without ever using the stove!
Taste
You might think, there’s no way these eggs will taste the same as my trusty eggs boiled in actual water. It’s true that these eggs from the oven taste a little creamier than the boiled egg you’re familiar with. But perhaps you’ll actually prefer that taste! The next time you’re making a huge egg salad for the entire family, try cooking your eggs in the oven!
Conserve
You can conserve boiled eggs in the fridge for about a week. That way you’ll only need to take time out of your day to prepare eggs once a week, and you’ll always have an egg ready for breakfast, lunch or a snack during the week.
