This is why you should blow-dry strawberries after buying them

Trick

Fruit needs to be washed; that’s just the hygienic thing to do. Nobody likes taking a bite of some fruit and finding sand, dirt or, even worse, an insect or another type of critter in their mouth. Gross! Yet sometimes, the moisture that remains behind when you’ve washed your fruit causes the fruit in question to become soft or even bad. Luckily, there’s an easy fix for this problem and all you need is… a blow-dryer! Remove the leafy crowns from the strawberries and then rinse them properly. Next, place them on some paper towels – these will already absorb a lot of the moisture. Now the actual trick comes in! Put your blow-dryer on the lowest setting and blow-dry the strawberries for 30 seconds. Put them back in the fridge afterwards. You’ll notice the fruit remains fresh and tasty for much longer!
