It’s super simple!

Giving your house a thorough cleaning every now and then is a good idea, but have you ever cleaned your wallpaper? It is known to gather a lot of dust, but many people forget to clean it. After reading this, you won’t forget it anymore. Especially when you find out how easy it really is!

Easiest thing in the world!

Type of wallpaper

First of all, it’s important to find out what kind of wallpaper you have on your walls. Not every type of paper can take being cleaned with moisture and you don’t want to damage it, of course. There’s washable wallpaper, which is made of vinyl, and then there’s the non-washable version, which is made of actual paper.

Paper

With the paper version, you can use baking soda to clean it. Rub the powder onto the places where the dust has gathered and then scrub it out with a soft brush. You can also use this trick for things like dusty lamp shades or other surfaces that are made of fabric.

Vinyl

If your wallpaper is made out of vinyl, cleaning it with some soapy water is the best choice. Mix together half a liter of warm water and one teaspoon of liquid dish soap. Take out a sponge, dip it into the soapy water and wring it out properly. First clean a small corner of the wall to make sure you don’t leave any stains. If it doesn’t stain, carefully clean the entire wall (or walls). It’s very simple, but it goes a long way!
