Dark stains in your toilet? No problem!
It’s the most hated chore in every household: cleaning the toilet. Armed with plastic gloves up to our elbows, rubber boots and a gas mask we enter the scene of the crime, ready to scrub the day away. No, we’re kidding; we don’t let it get that far.
Nevertheless, it’s not a fun job and you want it to be done as quickly as possible.
Scrubbing
It’s a sad fact that a toilet gets filthy really quickly, especially when you’re living with several other people. It should definitely be cleaned every week, and perhaps even more often when you’ve got a large family. But if you’re too busy doing other chores, it’s not uncommon for the toilet to slip your mind. Sometimes a toilet can get pretty filthy and dark stains can appear at the edges of the bowl. You’re standing at the ready with bleach to start scrubbing vigorously, but let’s be honest… That’s not something you really feel like doing now, is it? Lucky for you, you don’t have to, because we’ve got a much easier way to get rid of the stains!
Vinegar
Those dark circles in the toilet bowl are actually accumulations of minerals. But even if they turned out to be made of pure gold; they’re not nice to look at. There are plenty of expensive cleaning products out there, but this tip costs practically nothing and is super easy. Pour a generous amount of vinegar into the toilet bowl. Dip some toilet paper into the vinegar and stick it against the edges of the bowl, onto the stains. Leave this over night and you’ll be able to remove the stains through some light scrubbing the next day! The dark circles will disappear completely and your toilet is once again the cleanest place in the house. It’s as easy as that!
