Dusty radiator? No problem at all, thanks to this trick!

radiator

The radiator can get quite dusty!

Dust, it’s inevitable. It’s everywhere, and we all know what that feels like. Even after an intensive cleaning session it still finds its way to the most remote places! Have you ever checked behind the back of your radiator? Radiators are constructed in such a way that dust and dirt can become trapped there quite easily and it takes a considerable amount of time to make sure it’s all gone.

Luckily, we’ve got a great tip for you that will help you clean your radiator in no time!

Dust

But first, let’s talk about dust. Did you know dust can cost you a lot of money? If you let dust settle on your radiator, it will become 30 per cent less effective, which means it’ll have to work harder, which costs more energy and thus more money. Also, if you were planning on ambitiously making sure your home is completely dust-free, we’ve got some bad news: there’s dust in every single home and there’s about 6 milligrams of it per square meter. Even if you think it’s gone, it isn’t: you only start to see the grey stuff after seven or eight days.

Vacuum cleaner

If you want to make sure you’re as effective as possible when it comes to cleaning up dust around your home, you have to make sure you regularly check your vacuum cleaner. If the vacuum cleaner bag is filled to the brim, the vacuum has a lot less suction power, but that’s not all. You also run the risk of the dust you’ve just sucked up being released in the room again straight away when the bag is full. So, always make sure the bag isn’t too full and that you replace it when it’s three-quarters of the way full already.

Now that we’ve updated you on dust in general, let’s move on to our handy radiator trick. Go to the next page to read all about it!
