Is your cutlery covered in rust spots? With this trick they will be gone in no time!

This natural concoction will make rust spots disappear in no time

You probably have a nice set of cutlery in a drawer at home, and we bet you’ve put those luxury kitchen knives through the dishwasher at some point as well. It’s just very easy to put them in the dishwasher when they’re dirty. This does mean they can develop rust spots, though…

Those spots form when cutlery is left to dry on its own instead of being dried with a tea towel. If you want to prevent this, it’s best to immediately dry the cutlery when it’s clean.

Lemon juice
Of course, the damage might already be done. Luckily, rust isn’t permanent and you can definitely do something about it. All you need is a considerable amount of lemon juice. Take a big glass and fill it about two-thirds of the way. Put your knives or other cutlery in the glass, with the blade in the juice. Let this sit and soak for about five to seven minutes and then take out the cutlery. Scrub it clean with the soft side of a scourer and then rinse it under lukewarm water. Dry it with a clean tea towel and you’ll notice the rust spots have disappeared and your cutlery looks as good as new!
